That bullet hole in your arm doesn't LOOK like nothing, Jeriah. D:

I'm starting to think I want to cast Don Knotts as Guiles...

4th Feb 2017, 9:38 AM
Haha Yep! He's doing all the classic things those not-so-smart villains are doing. But, to be fair, his orders aren't what you think they might be. ;)

Also, if I cast Guiles, I feel like Walton Goggins could do him right. XD
3rd Feb 2017, 7:27 PM
Bullet hole? What bullet hole? I'm Captain America!
4th Feb 2017, 9:39 AM
There's no time to dwell on bullet holes! ...Unless you want more of them.
3rd Feb 2017, 8:35 PM
Guiles, you broke Villain 101.

Make sure they are dead before approaching.
4th Feb 2017, 9:39 AM
But it's hard to check for a pulse from so far away. XD
3rd Feb 2017, 9:08 PM
...Jeriah just slammed into Guiles with his injured arm. OUCH!
4th Feb 2017, 9:40 AM
Yep! If only his hands were free to do the fighting instead... X'D
4th Feb 2017, 1:59 AM
Guiles, you suck at being evil xD
4th Feb 2017, 9:41 AM
He is actually pretty bad at it, yeah. That's why Abraham is around to do most of the evil-ing stuff.
4th Feb 2017, 11:18 AM
No, no. Keep your guns up when he says hold it! You never know when a certain werewolf will tackle you with an injured arm.

Aww, come on, Jeriah! You ruined a perfectly good pair of pants! :P
4th Feb 2017, 3:18 PM
Well they ruined that nice poncho of his. So... now they are even? XD
4th Feb 2017, 3:29 PM
Haha, yeah. :)

I hope Annabelle or Scarlett can sew that up. I've grown fond of his pants.
5th Feb 2017, 3:17 PM
Matt Knab
Hide and seek skills put to good use!
5th Feb 2017, 5:44 PM
Are you supposed to tackle the person when they find you? I think Jeriah is playing it wrong... XD
6th Feb 2017, 2:33 AM
I'm curious to know what you consider something serious, Jeriah...
6th Feb 2017, 2:49 AM
When... you can die from it? XD
6th Feb 2017, 10:18 PM
Hahaha AW Guiles you were so cool and then ya just let him sneak up on ya!

I'm so blown away by how you can do all that detail on that wood by hand! X"DDD
7th Feb 2017, 8:53 AM
Thanks! Yeah, the wood detail takes a while but isn't hard or anything, and I think it adds a lot in the world of black and white, lol.
7th Feb 2017, 12:29 AM
Oh boy, our good friend "It's fine that my friends tied me up" and "This gunshot wound is fine" Jeriah needs to maybe speak up for himself more! Just maybe, though xD
7th Feb 2017, 8:54 AM
Speaking up is what Jeriah doesn't do best! XD
7th Feb 2017, 9:33 AM
Archangel Daniel
I sincerely hope that Guiles survives this. He deserves a break.
8th Feb 2017, 9:01 AM
And a Scooby Snack? :o
9th Feb 2017, 10:53 AM
H'okay LET'S DO THIS *cracks knuckles*

"Nothing." Riiiiight. That 'nothing' has ruined your nice new poncho, your arm, and Annabelle's peace of mind. Although I do wonder - how does being a werewolf affect Jeriah's healing and ability to feel pain? Clearly it hurts, and clearly he's putting on a bit of a tough guy act here, but still. Something to ponder. Especially given that the medicine Theodore gives him is technically a poison.

Now I'm distracted by werewolf biology. Back to comic.

I always forget that you traditionally draw this - or at least traditionally sketch; I don't know if you've ever said how much of this is traditional in a comment or anything. If you have, I've completely forgotten. Still, the woodwork in particular is impressive, and I love the varying thickness of your linework. On a weird art note, the way that Jeriah's poncho moves and the design being folded into the fabric so it always looks slightly different each time we see it makes me very, very happy; it's always lovely to see details like that and you're so very good at including them.

Guiles, you are the worst evil henchmen ever. In fact, you just kinda suck at being evil in general. But that's a good thing; I do love the variety that we've seen with your villains in this story. Of course, there's Abraham, and his number one sidekick Guiles, but the others, from what we've seen, have a variety of reasons for doing what they do, most of which seem to boil down to 'them or us', from what I've seen. Which... I can't honestly blame them for; there's something to be said for that.

Not that I condone ANY of their actions, but at least it's understandable. Abraham, evil though he is.... cares. He's got a very firm, understandable viewpoint. It's just a shame that he's willing to go all Darth Vader in order to achieve his goals.

Guiles is, as far as I can tell, much more of a follower than a leader. He's a good one! But I think he's with Abraham precisely because he follows Abraham, and I don't think he thinks much beyond that. He's definitely got some loyalty there. I'd love to see the story behind him following Abe; I bet it's a good one.

I'll stop speculating now and save that for when I've had a chance to reread Silver again. For now, just let me say this: I love this story. I love these characters. The character design is fantastic, the characterization is better, and that goes for heroes, villains, entertaining side characters, depressing flashback characters, everything. You are a magnificent storyteller and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Eeeeeeee such a wonderful comment to be surprised with! Thank you for the thoughtful insight and compliments! <3

I never clearly address in this comic the healing capabilities of werewolves. Yes, there is a slight tolerance to pain because the wound begins healing immediately. This would explain Jeriah's ability to run/jump/etc. even though he's been stabbed near the beginning and Abraham's 'discomfort' when his hands are damaged with the spikes. They are more durable than humans too, if that makes sense?

Yes, the comic is completely drawn AND inked by hand. The only digital part of the comic is the lettering and the tones. I am told I have a pretty clean inking style, lol.

Guiles is definitely a follower, and a loyal one at that. Within these next up-coming pages all of this will be explained a bit more (I'm excited for it! :D). But Guiles' loyalty to Abraham comes from something that happened in the past. It is briefly mentioned in pages 195-196. Originally I had written this flashback completely, but I had to cut it out and only mention it like this to keep things short and to keep the focus on the main story.

Thank you SO MUCH for this kind comment! I really enjoyed reading it! It gives me inspiration and motivation to keep working hard and get these pages done! ^_^

Ha ha seriously!

Though someone DID hit Jeriah in the shoulder, so I guess that counts?
